"Speedy" Dan Clarke
About
Dan Clarke, born in Yorkshire, England, has been racing since the age of 8. He has over 25 years of experience racing in several disciplines across multiple continents.
After his karting years, Dan began racing open wheel cars in 2001 through British Formula Ford and Formula 3 series.
Dan began racing in the US in 2006 with Champ Car for 2 seasons, winning a pole position and became a regular podium finisher, earning the nickname "Speedy Dan". Dan raced in the A1 GP series overseas in 2009, and returned to the US to compete in the 2010 Indy Lights series.
Dan has been racing sports cars since 2011 in multiple series and disciplines from Nascar to Porsche GT racing. In addition to racing, he also provides driver training and team/simulator development.
Achievements
- Six Porsche Carrera Cup North America podium finishes: 2nd place at 2023 Indianapolis, 3rd place at 2023 Road America, 3rd place at 2023 Laguna Seca, 3rd place at 2024 Watkins Glen, 3rd place at 2024 Road America and 3rd place at Indianapolis 2024.
- 6th place overall finish in Porsche Carrera Cup North America for the 2023 season.
- Two class wins at Porsche Sprint Challenge TogetherFest: 2021 and 2022 at Indianapolis
- Overall win at Porsche Sprint Challenge TogetherFest: 2022 Indianapolis
- Champ Car pole winner: 2006 Road America
- Two Champ Car podium finishes: 2nd place at 2007 Road America, 3rd place at 2006 Denver Grand Prix
- Two Indy Lights podium finishes: 2nd place at both 2010 Toronto and Mid-Ohio
